Chris Rock, stand-up comic superstar will make his Broadway debut in a new play about love and fidelity, come springtime 2011. This would be first time for comedian Chris Rock that he will be performing first time to a live audience on Broadway in New York City. This hollywood comic is popular known for his his contemporary political and relationship humor.
The Broadway play carries a title with an expletive. The actual title is called, “The Motherf**ker With the Hat.”.Don't take it as a fun as you will admit yourself when till you hear the title of this upcoming play.
Chris Rock will star in the ensemble of Stephen Adly Guirgis’new play alongside actors,Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez,Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez. The production, directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, will begin previews on March 22, 2011 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. The play will be a 14-week engagement.
The play centers on Jackie (Cannavale), a parolee who newly becomes sober, and his girlfriend instead is still hooked on drugs and alcohol. Rock will portray the AA sponsor to Jackie, (Cannavale’s character)
